Leaving Layout

*There will be no more MDS blog hops in December. But I will posting often, so make sure you check back weekly for new projects.

Some of you may remember this layout that I created for my guest blog article about documenting the hard times. I've been slacking on making more layouts like this. I really want Esper to have a clear picture of what life was like, and for us that includes saying good-bye to each other every other weekend. I find that she teaches me and pushes me to find places in myself that I didn't know existed. To find skills that were laying dormant until they needed to be called out. Courage. Faith. Wisdom. Having two families will influence her life in so many ways, but I'm finding the situation is pushing me to be a better person. If I can document this for her, she may learn from my experiences and that's all I can hope for in life. If not, at least she can perhaps understand me better. I'm starting to realize that these pages are more for me than her.

The beautiful paper (Tea For Two) I used on this layout is not available until January, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek. Isn't it yummy? And as always, I was inspired by a layout I saw on Pinterest.

  1. My heart goes out to you Erica. I was in your place many years ago, saying goodbye to my son on his father's weekends. Keep it positive and know she'll cherish your scrapbook pages someday. I admire everything you do.
