Project Life: Week 3

This week I decided to change the font I used. I also added a Facebook status to one of the days. I hope to incorporate other memorabilia throughout this book rather than just photos and words.

I used the One Big Sale-A-Bration digital cd again- I really love the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper and the matching brads and ribbon. Remember, you can earn this cd for free until March 31 by putting in a $50 order at my online store.

2011 Digital Photobook Featuring The One Big Sale-A-Bration CD

Last month I was asked to create some samples for Stampin' Up!'s Leadership conference using My Digital Studio. I was so excited and spent a lot of time during the holidays working on them, this book in particular. It took a long time to put together since it is 24 pages long, but I simplified the process by using templates that already came with the software. I simply changed colors and used different digital designer series paper. If I had to think up every layout from scratch it would have taken me so much longer. I converted all of my photos to black and white so that I could let the colors from this kit pop. I used the One Big Sale-A-Bration digital cd that you can earn when you purchase $50 worth of Stampin' Up! products between now and March 31. Click here to go to my online store and put in an order. When you checkout, you will be able to add the digital cd (or one of these items) to your order for free!

I can't wait to see this book in person! I've made a video below of the digital files.

MDS Blog Hop: Winter/Snow

We have had hardly any snow this season, so I got lucky that we got a little this past Sunday. I pulled out my cell phone and quickly took some pictures while I could. (I seem to have misplaced my nice camera battery charger.) Esper loves it when it snows and likes to stick her tongue out to catch snowflakes on her tongue. It's pretty adorable. I'll have to try and get a picture of that soon.

Stampin' Success Featured Artist

A few months ago I got some of the best news I've had all year: Stampin' Up! wanted to feature me as the guest demonstrator artist in the February issue of Stampin' Success (a monthly magazine for demonstrators.) They asked me to create three projects using the Simple Snapshots cd. They also interviewed me about My Digital Studio.

A funny story- since I live close to the Stampin' Up! home office, a photographer came by to do a photo shoot of me and Esper. In the middle of Esper coloring in the journal while on my lap, she out of nowhere just threw up all over us. I was basically sitting in vomit, and the photographer and I burst out laughing hysterically. It was such a random hilarious moment I'll always remember when I see those photos in the article.

Here are the projects I designed:

12" x 12" Scrapbook page
6" x 6" card
Journal - to document the funny things Esper says

I am so honored to have been asked by Stampin' Up! to do this! It happened at a time in my life when it was really good to have something to be proud of.

Project Life: Week 2

As you can see, I adjusted the colors and fonts this week, and even increased the size of some of the journaling blocks so I had more room to write. I'm excited for the flexibility of this template and how easy it is to change up the look and feel from week to week. Leave me a comment with a link to your blog if you are doing your own Project Life!

(btw, I am doing a picture a day- I post them on my Facebook page- and they are very raw and true to how I am feeling at the moment, so if you see some pictures on these spreads, and I'm not exactly smiling, that is why. Part of capturing the everyday moments of life is also capturing the pain, the sadness, and the grief and I have plenty of that lately.)
