Pumpkin Layout Featuring A To Z Woodpress

I love these new letter embellishments! They add so much dimension to your pages. I'm still working on some October photos for Esper's book. I hope you're not sick of seeing Christmas projects because I'm going to need to scrapbook photos of our holiday too. A few things about this layout- the punch shape I used behind the photos is from the Convention 2012 Photobook Template and the leaf image is from the Be Awesome Today Easel Calendar. Also, I cropped the title stamp "the perfect pumpkin" so that it would fit lengthwise. I also lowered the opacity of the background page to 89% so that the pattern wouldn't overpower the rest of the page.

Decorating Trees Layout

I am still loving the Game Day Photobook Template and used it as a starting point for this two-page spread. I simply switched out the paper and the colors to fit with these cute photos of my daughter going to town on some frosting. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! Esper and I certainly did. I'm loving all this free time I have to MDS. :)

Scared of Santa Scrapbook Page

Well I hope you enjoyed these 12 days of projects. I had a lot of fun and think I will do more blogging like this. Maybe 14 projects preceding Valentine's Day?

I'll end my 12 days of Christmas with a scrapbook page for Esper's album. For weeks we had talked about meeting Santa and sitting on his lap and she was very excited. I couldn't contain her from running up to him before it was even her turn yet. She stopped dead in her tracks and put her little hands over her eyes. Peeking through her fingers, she looked at him tentatively. No matter how much I encouraged her that he was really nice (honestly, how do I know?) she wouldn't sit on his lap. So I sat next to him with her on my lap. She told him she wanted "presents" when he asked her what she wanted for Christmas. She did give him a high-five which at least shows that he is alright in her book.

I hope you all have a fabulous holiday!

Christmas Chalkboard Frameable Word Art

I wanted to try my hand at a chalkboard-looking frameable I could put out at Christmas. I used this one (second one down) as inspiration. I used the freeform tool to curve a line that I then attached text to. It didn't turn out exactly as I was hoping, so I'll have to keep playing with this style.

I went shopping today and the crowds were crazy! I have a lot left to do before Christmas. Wrapping and baking and more wrapping. I can't wait to see Esper's sweet smile when she sees what Santa brought her.

12 Days of Christmas (Day 10)

I decided to make a card that I could put on a present to my brother. I wanted to include this adorable photo of us from Christmas Day 25 years ago. That is crazy to think it was so long ago. My earliest memory is of him being born. He was my little baby and I adored him. I sang him Christmas carols and put his binky back in his mouth when it fell out. I loved him and squeezed him (probably too much at times). I'm so grateful he is home for the holidays this year and that I get to watch him love and squeeze my daughter.

Inspiration for this card found here.

12 Days of Christmas (Day 9)

I did something new today. I scrapbooked in 8-1/2" x 11" size instead of 12" x 12". Just thought I'd switch things up a bit. I saw this layout on Pinterest and wanted to recreate the spray mist look. I started with a crumb cake background and then added three layers of Vintage Overlay 11. Then I added three snowflake punches in crumb cake. A couple of them I sent backward one layer, and one I left on top. I love the result. To see more things you can do with this Vintage Overlay, see this video tutorial I made.

I also recolored the satin ribbon. I found that the Basic Grey ribbon was best for recoloring to Cherry Cobbler.
