MDS Blog Hop: Scrapbook Your Childhood

Our challenge this week was to make a layout about our childhood. I have to say I have way too many albums of my childhood. So while this page is for Esper's album, it does include a photo of me as a child.

I was going for super simple since my time lately is limited. I do like how it turned out though. It lets the photos shine as the focus of the page. (Inspiration here.)

MDS Blog Hop: Owls

I love it when I get to pick the theme! I chose owls because I am obsessed with them. And I needed to scrapbook Esper's 2nd Birthday pictures. Even though it's been four months since her birthday, this is something I regularly hear at my house:

Her: "Mommy, guess what?"
Me: "What?"
Her: "I had a OWL BIRTHDAY."

I guess it was pretty memorable. When I ask what kind of a birthday party she wants when she turns three, she says "OWL BIRTHDAY." Okay, so I may have passed my obsession on to her.

I wanted to use a photo from the party as a background for my first page and I really like how it turned out.
