MDS Blog Hop: Discounted Content Discs

This week our challenge was to use the collection Content Discs that are discounted from the 2011-2012 catalog that is retiring. The individual elements will actually be around still, but if you would like to save some money, these collections are the way to go. I purchased the Sweet Retreat Collection DVD which includes the following content: Domestic Goddess Suite: Now You’re Cookin’ Stamp Brush Set & Domestic Goddess Designer Series Paper (which I used on this layout); Big Top Suite: Under the Big Top Stamp Brush Set & Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper; Just Add Cake Suite: Party Time II Stamp Brush Set & Just Add Cake Kit. Even though I already had the Just Add Cake Kit, it was still worth it to me to purchase this DVD. Purchased separately all of these downloads would cost $38.70. Everything together on this disc only costs $11.18!

The alphabet punches I used on this layout come with the Announcing Baby Girl Postcard Template. You get a full set of alphabet (lower and upper) AND number punches for only $4.95! Not to mention a 7-piece stamp brush set in addition to the template. I love finding really good deals like this.

MDS Blog Hop: Vacations (and a giveaway!)

When it came time to make my page this week, I realized that A.) I haven't gone on many vacations in the last few years and B.) Of the ones I have, I've already scrapbooked the pictures. One thing I never did was scrapbook any pictures from the trip I took to Disneyland five years ago. (hence, why I probably look a lot different in these pictures.) I absolutely LOVED the page Holly VanDyne made (inspired by Heather Summers) and knew I wanted to CASE it. I really need to take Esper to Disneyland so that I'll have fun pictures to scrapbook. I love the ability to color match in My Digital Studio. The orange I used was taken from Tigger in the picture.

The paper I used in the background is from the Piece of Cake Ensemble Digital Content CD that was available during Sale-A-Bration. For those of you who didn't have a chance to get one of these, I am giving one away today! Just be sure to leave a comment here by Sunday, May 20 at 2pm, when I'll be picking a winner. See below to see what comes on the CD.

MDS Blog Hop: Circle Sketch

I enjoyed today's sketch and used it to create a layout with these cute pictures of Esper. After I made this layout I realized I wanted to put a full page of journaling opposite it so I made a coordinating page. I have quite a few layouts that I plan on going back and adding a coordinating layout to either with more photos or journaling. It's part of why I love the versatility of My Digital Studio so much.

MDS Blog Hop: Sketch (Meeting Santa layout)

Aren't these sketch challenges so fun? I love seeing all the ways the sketch is interpreted. I chose to scrapbook these pictures of Esper on her first Christmas. This kit is the Christmas Jingles one that comes with the full My Digital Studio software and I seem to use it for all of my Christmas layouts.
