Baby's 1st Birthday Board Book Album

I made this board book last year for convention, but I realized recently that I had never posted it on my blog. It came together very quickly once I had a design plan. I just alternated the different layouts so I didn't have to think too hard about it. You'll see that when I got it printed I didn't leave enough room on the cover so it got cut off a little. Make sure you leave extra room for the cover bleeds if you get a board book printed. My favorite thing about the board books are that the pages lay flat. You don't have to worry about the middle gutter area. I also love how my daughter can look at this as much as she wants and I don't have to worry about the pages getting bent or torn. Here is a video of her looking at this book. You can see more images of the party decor here.

This is my favorite spread. I just took a photo and made it fit the length of both pages.
Check out how it printed:

Happy Birthday Card Featuring Patio Party

Here is another card that didn't end up on the Convention My Digital Studio display boards. I really like the Patio Party ensemble- it's one of my faves! Today in my online class I talked about customizing MDS so that all of your embellishments are nicely organized. You can still join us and learn all of my secrets too.

Give Thanks Layout Featuring Comfort Café

Here is another scrapbook page you may have seen at Convention on the My Digital Studio display board. I had a lot of fun making this page of Esper looking pretty on Thanksgiving last year.

This week in My Secret Studio (my online class) we learned about layout & design. If you've ever wanted to create professional-looking layouts but aren't sure where to start with placement, etc. I explain that in my latest video tutorial. Come join us! (only $20 for a month, but you can access the class for months after.)
